Wrong COM port selected (windows)
Unfortunately, we've found that older Windows operating systems (Window XP, Windows 7, and Windows 8) sometimes have issues connecting with the Arduino board that comes with your X-Carve kit.
Follow these steps to ensure the correct COM port is being used.
Open your computer's device manager (hotkey: Win+pause/break)
Once you know what COM port the Arduino is using, manually set the COM Port in Easel to connect.
Under "Ports," look for "Arduino Uno." If you do not see the Arduino in your computer's COM ports, click here to troubleshoot communication between your Arduino and computer.
Write down the COM port the Arduino is using to communicate with your computer.
